Ensure our Wounded Warriors are receiving necessary medical treatment without delay, prior to discharge.

Created by K.H. on February 02, 2014

I am requesting your assistance on an urgent and time sensitive matter. Army CW3 Hessberger is assigned to the Walter Reed Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB) (AKA the Wounded Warrior Unit). Chief Hessberger is a reserve soldier on active duty who was injured during a combat deployment. Both a military and civilian surgeon determined a prosthetic joint is necessary. He is scheduled to undergo the procedure at Walter Reed Medical Facility on 11 Feb 2014. Individuals at the WTB are trying to deny/delay the necessary procedure until after Chief Hessberger is medically discharged from the military.

Our service members should always receive necessary medical treatment for injuries they sustained while on active duty, before being discharged, not just pushed out the door to reduce military number
