Mobid obesity is an epidemic, Most health care provider will agree that it is in fact genetic, and also a mental illness. To concider bariatric surgery as vanity is unconstitional. Granted the fact some people want the surgery for the wrong reasons, I believe that if a real MD decides the patient is in distress due to Mobid obesity and has tried other means to lose weight without any result. I think that bariatric surgery should be a last resort decision. Also I would like to point out that most obese patients are ones that are in finacial hardship. Let's face it; The cheap food is the most fattning. You go to a fast food place on the dollar menu, and get a meal that is made of things i shudder to think about. Fresh fruits and vegitables and fresh meats cost more. Let's break the cycle!
