Ensure that race cars be exempt from EPA rules so long as they are operated off-road and not on public roads.

Created by I.S. on February 09, 2016

On behalf of all automotive enthusiasts everywhere, we request that the EPA maintain street vehicles modified for race track use exempt from any emissions regulations so long as they are not driven on public roads. In addition to being an enormous industry generating tens of billions of dollars for the US economy, the automotive aftermarket exists to serve the passion and fuel the creativity of us, the auto enthusiasts. Don't kill our dreams.

Non-compliant vehicles driven on non-public roads will not statistically help with any environmental protection as the number of vehicles affected is insignificant, especially when compared to the pollution generated by industrial trucks, factories, and ships. We feel the targeting of automotive enthusiasts by the EPA is unfair and misguided.
