Radio personality Alex Jones has demonstrated on national television that the mentally ill should be nowhere near any type of firearm, let alone be allowed to buy them. The tragedies at Aurora, Virginia Tech, and Columbine should have served as wake up calls. The deaths of twenty children and six teachers as well as the shooter's mother should not be another "should have" moment.
The time to talk about this is now, and the time for action is now. Alex Jones tried to be another witness for the gun lobby, but proved to be a mere exhibit for those in favor of common sense.
For these reasons, we are asking the Obama Administration to ensure public safety by making Mr. Jones an example, and taking any and all firearms in his possession, using all resources necessary to do so.
