In order for the United States to remain a strong democratic nation, and maintain its position as the leader of free nations, it is imperative that the integrity of the voting process within the United States be free from corruption and fraud.
The ability to vote in federal elections should not be taken lightly. It is one of the greatest honors we have as American citizens. Whereas most states have laws that prohibit registered convicts the right to vote, many more do not have laws requiring voters to prove who they are.
Voter fraud hurts us as a nation, and brings into question the integrity of this great nation.
It is thereby requested that legally voting citizens be required to show identification before casting a ballot for any nationally recognized election.
