The relatively new law in Russia concerning sexual orientation can put athletes and attendees of the 2014 Olympics in danger. It is unacceptable to have an Olympian's one chance be damaged by worry that expressing yourself or looking like yourself can put you in danger. U.S citizens attending the Olympics need to be assured safety no matter their sexual orientation. Unless this is resolved it will definitely create protests and issues that will can mar & overshadow the Olympics. The resolution of this issue or the relocation of the Olympics must be considered now since at least 10% attendees will be gay or lesbian and therefore not safe.
