Ensure a solider's career advancement is protected and confidentiality rights are not violated for seeking counseling

Many soldiers and their families are experiencing problems related to PTSD after their loved one returns home from deployment. These families desire to seek assistance from mental health professionals but their rights of privacy are being violated because mental health professional are required to sign a contract stating they will inform Military One Source if they think a solider cannot perform their duties. Military One Source then reports this to their commander. Some soldiers are not being promoted for seeking mental health assistance. Thus, many families do not get the help they need. This violates the soldier's right to privacy in the constitution, many state laws, and the code of ethics of professional mental health associations. Military members need your signature to stop this.
