Ensure those who are in jails/prisons have humane, daily access to methadone or suboxone for their addiction recovery

Created by K.A. on August 10, 2015

Christina Ackerman, Savannah Sparks, Susan Bennett, the list goes on.100's, if not 1000's of people a year who are on the right path of bettering themselves with their opiate addiction end up in jail/prison for various reasons & end up suffering horrible medically unjust & INHUMANE withdrawals off prescription medications like Methadone & Suboxone given to them to help end their opiate addiction.Common belief in prisons is to let inmates go cold turkey & "deal with the consequences of their bad choices" when opiate addiction is actually a chronic medical condition. This just makes the inmate 3X as likely to use illegal drugs when out. Souls from teens-late seventies DIE every year from this lack of basic medical treatment. What # is too high? PROVIDE METHADONE TO RECOVERING INMATES NOW!!!
