ensure that the US Government meet its commitment to retired military. Mil. retirement is earned/should not be taxable.

Created by G.H. on October 31, 2011

Retired Military Entitlements. Military Personnel serve their country on a contract basis. They are guaranteed retirement entitlements for 20 or more years of active service. Among these are monthly cash based on pay grade at time of retirement and years of service. Lifetime Free Medical and Dental care are also included for retiree and dependent spouse. Educational assistance is also guaranteed. Over the years these entitlements continue to be whittled away at as the government backs away from its commitments to military personnel. As the retirement cash is earned for years of service, it should not be considered pay and should not be taxable. The government is not meeting its commitment to retirees. I petition the US Government to restore retired entitlements per its contract.
