To start curbing this waste, we should start charging patrons $.05 per plastic bag utilized at a store, like grocery stores, department stores, and so on. Then, individuals will become more aware of how many plastic bags they use. Since people usually do not like to spend money when they do not have to, this will help increase the usage of reusable tote bags, paper bags, and more recyclable, environmentally-friendly carrying receptacles. The money collected from plastic bag use can be use for other environmental clean up efforts. This change will help make America and the world a better place for future generations!
