Environmental Damage from Factory Farming

This petition is important because currently the farming industry is the leading cause of environmental damage. This industry releases the most co2, uses ridiculous amounts of water, and is polluting the ocean. Currently the food industry has political control over the government, the people, and environmental protection groups which is why we don't hear a lot about this issue. The truth is that money can cover the worst of evils. With this petition, we propose that congress passes a law limiting the environmental impact of the food industry, proposing safer and healthier regulations on the meat and dairy industry, make meat companies pay the costs of grazing on public lands, and limit the fishing industry which is destroying the oceans.
