EPA Restrictions

Created by D.M. on June 04, 2014

Take Action Now! The EPA just released their ruling on existing power plants. The restrictions are tougher than anticipated.

The Administration has abandoned its all-of-the-above energy strategy and embraced an all-but-one approach that restricts the future use of coal to generate affordable electricity. The EPA has proposed rules to require the use of a specific technology that is not commercially viable. Electric co-ops are deeply concerned about maintaining affordable, reliable electricity. Please urge the Administration to reconsider this proposal and focus on working with your co-op to reduce power plant emissions, increase efficiency and develop affordable new technologies.
