Mothers are automatically assumed to be the better parent and the courts assume the child will be better off spending the majority of their life with the mother opposed to the father. Most fathers spend around 4-6 days per month with the child they helped bring into this world.
I'm speaking about the men that want to be a part of their child's life but have that right stripped from them by the mother with help from the court.
Equal time with both parents should be the default custody arrangement. This should only apply to the men and women that want to be in their child's life. Unless or until that parent is proven unfit should that parents rights be discussed for further action.
