The state of Utah is unfortunately doing a disservice by which making it very difficult for the good father's in utah to be in evolved with their child's life. This petition is looking for the state of Utah to look at their current stance on custody where as instead of giving the non custodial parent minimum time with their child and instead give the child a support network through both parents. This petition is asking that instead of starting custody disputes at minimum time for both parents to have joint physical custody and share parent time 50/50.
This petition is not trying to place more importance on which gender is more fit, rather giving dad's that want to be in their child's life a better opportunity to do so.
