Being a part of the NAACP, we feel that fair education is vital and necessary in America. Education is the equalizer of society and is highly important. During the civil rights movement in 1964 we established 30 free schools throughout Mississippi, which taught about the history of civil rights and African Americans.
We propose an idea to ensure equality in education. We propose that all public schools throughout the country should receive proportionally the same funding for their students, regardless of their race. Each school will receive the same amount of funding for food, supplies and technology, proportionate to the amount of students admitted in each school. No school should receive any less than any other school.
