GUN RIGHTS equals GUN CONTROL. Reach out to the NRA lobby and do more to enact reasonable measures at the national level to collect data on gun sales and use at the ATF, fund research on gun violence as a public health issue at the CDC, support and encourage efforts of the surgeon general Vivek Murthy to draw attention to the US gun violence epidemic, and also to recognize this issue as central to the Black Lives Matter campaign, since gun violence disproportionately affects African Americans. Finally, work closely with congress to prevent arms and ammunition sales within the US to the mentally incapacitated, convicted criminals, children or those who give arms to children, and last, ban arms sales to those pledging allegiance to foreign political interests that are at war with the USA.
