Come to a compromise in the gun and school shooting debate. Instead of asking teachers to take someone's life in an already stressful psychological experience, we ask that teachers be equipped with a tranquilizer gun. This will incapacitate the gunman and allow time for first responders to arrive. It will save lives and also prevent the person from killing themselves so that they will have to stand trial for their crimes. This will be a bigger deterrent than guns because these people are not afraid of dying, just making a statement. The possibility of being captured and put in prison will stop not everyone but most.
