Eradicate "capital punishment" from our modern society.

Created by D.H. on April 08, 2013

Our criminal justice system runs off the belief of fairness, but as we all know, it does not always succeed in achieving this. In our frenzied responses to crimes, we often lose the fairness, and justice aspect that the system was created to hold close. Instead we replace it with an insatiable need for vengeance. In order to maintain fairness and law we must place ourselves above the crime which has been committed. The death penalty is a corrupt and outdated punishment which serves more as an act of vengeance than justice. This isn't about giving the convicted a break, or allowing them to get of the hook, its about being fair and just and placing ourselves ahead of violence, but most of all, its doing the right thing.
