Eradicating the hundred dollar bill will make it difficult for quick/inconspicuous transactions of large sums of money to occur; this, in turn, will decrease criminal dealings/activity. Due to the perceived stability of the United States economy, a large sum of hundred dollar bills exists in the hands of foreigners, not in the possession of American citizens/banks. Despite the benefits of the bill, the fact of the matter is that the United States is still not accountable for the vast majority of its money. The hundred dollar bill makes for the convenience of handling large sums of money; hence, criminals (in particular drug dealers, human traffickers, and weapons dealers) are able to obtain/circulate millions of dollars without being detected/tracked (NPR: Should We Kill The $100 Bill?)
