I received Radioactive Iodine Treatment for my Hyperactive thyroid and have been suffering ever since. It damaged my immune system, which resulted in my Epstein-Barr virus becoming activated and was unable to fight it off. I had a lot of nerve and brain damage from that. Then I was diagnosed with viral meningitis and lost 30# and weighed 102#. I almost died. I had genetic testing done and it showed that the treatment caused my MTHFR gene to mutate or caused a polymorphism to my genes. I have many debilitating symptoms and this list goes on and on. I know of 6 other women in my small community that have also been debilitated from this condition. This treatment needs to be stopped as it is very dangerous.
