Forgiving the student loan debt of educated Americans will have an immediate stimulative effect on our economy. To be reasonable, student loan debt 10 years and older in good standing should be a candidate for total loan forgiveness. In the current economy, the college educated workforce is experiencing the "middle class crunch" between rising food prices, gas prices, taxes, child care, utilities, medical expenses, health insurance and many other hardships. With student loan debt erased, the well-educated Americans will be able to stimulate their local economy, businesses will begin hiring and new business will open. The future economic success of this country is dependent upon a well-educated, prosperous middle class. When the middle class is struggling, the country struggles.
