The rich will say that a 10% flat tax is unfair because they will pay MORE than the person making $50K a year.
It's RELATIVE and VERY FAIR. It's about lifestyle. My bills are commensurate with my income as are those of the wealthy. To say it's not fair exposes greed. How much is enough?
If the rich pay 14%, 10% is a better deal. For me, at 33%, this is a great deal.
The gov would acquire MORE revenues this way than it does now, and would have steady income every payday.
I wouldn't have to waste hours on taxes. Eliminate deductions. Just take 10% of my gross ... done!
This would be LESS STRESSFUL for EVERYONE, totally FAIR, and a significant contribution to eliminating the debt and putting us back in the black more quickly than today's plan!
But alas, I guess this is TOO SIMPLE!! ??
