"Sober" living homes have become a big business in the US. Many are unregistered with the cities they're in & don't obey the laws. People are shipped into them from all over the US. When a "patient" cannot pay the rent at the SLH they're thrown out into the street, adding to that city's homeless populate & raising their crime rates instead of being shipped back to their home state. A national law which would fine every single person a SLH adds to the homeless population of $30,000 must be enacted to encourage them to send the people home to their families instead of leaving them to commit crimes & be homeless. 100% of the fines are to be used to help homeless outreach and get these people home to their families.
