Establish an act that would withhold pay from Congress, Senate, The President, and Vice-President in a gov't shutdown.

If our elected leaders fail to perform their job duties in a timely, effective, and efficient manner to the point a government shutdown is in effect their pay should be withheld just as well as the hundreds of thousands of federal employees who have to go without pay. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Our veterans selflessly and bravely put their life in jeopardy to fight for our freedom yet President Obama attempted to lock them out of the monument that was erected in their honor. A monument which requires no round the clock personnel. In actuality more funds were spent on barricading the monument than would have been spent had it been left open which leads me to think the motive was political in nature. It is time our officials grow up and act like adults!
