Weakness and negligence have led to apathy in the consumer market. This has been illustrated in the worst year in credit card theft with gigantic breaches in the transaction systems of Home Depot and target. Millions of Americans had their accounts breached cause megalithic retailers are to frugal and greedy to properly execute their fiduciary responsibilities. New forms of payment and transaction procesessing are readily available but retailers did not want to at for new equipment and software. This petition urges stringent security standards be set requiring more secure systems, and establish responsibility.
