The territory of Puerto Rico has been a loyal territory of the United States of America since 1898. It's sons and daughters have fought in our wars, it has larger population than multiple states currently in the union, and it has been repeatedly been ignored by the U.S. Government. Puerto Rico deserves to become a state.
Please Mr. President, Stand behind your previous plea to congress to take the statehood of Puerto Rico under consideration. It is your duty to the people of Puerto Rico, and to the people of the United States. Thank you for your time.
