Establish and Promote an Affordable Firearms Act

Establish legislation and funding to provide modern firearms for all citizens not lawfully prohibited from ownership. Firearms provided should be of modern design and supplied with magazines having capacities equal to those utilized by law enforcement agencies. As with healthcare, no citizen should be denied the ability to protect themselves, their families or their property in the absence of representatives of local, state or federal agencies. Legislation should include requirements and funding associated with safe storage, training and education. Education should include annual firearm safety and awareness for children grades k-12. Legislation should allow for taxpayer use of shooting facilities utilized by law enforcement agencies. Educated and trained gun owners are safe gun owners.
