Establish an Army Combat Tanker/Armor badge to specifically recognize active combat engagement of Armor Soldiers.

Created by C.L. on May 24, 2013

There is a rich history of Soldiers in the Armor branch of the Army that is not specifically recognized during combat. A great deal of pride and esprit de corps surrounds this elite branch of the Army. Currently, combat medics and infantry Soldiers have a branch specific badge denoting combat engagement, and there is a great deal of pride and history surrounding these badges. Tankers and Cavalry scouts have a direct combat role and yet only have authorization to wear the same badge as support elements after a combat engagement. Establishing an official branch specific badge would add to the pride, espirit de corps, and rich history of Armor branch Soldiers, and give recognition to elite warriors that fight and win our nations battles.
