States need an amicable option to secede. If we can agree on a legal option people will not have to test the limits of their freedoms with secession petitions.
We fought a Cold war with USSR and demanded they take down there walls and allow their individual countries to choose their own paths. They did so without a great civil war. But somehow we the “Freest Nation on earth” give our own States no option for leaving this Union, except war and death, or to beg for leniency from Washington.
We ask that a clear path be established to allow States to amicable secede from their Union with The United States of America. And that this State right of secession be limited only to the citizens of that State and not subject to or limited by any Federal mandate or approval from Washington DC.
