Establish a commitee to propose to Congress to create an amendment to the Constitution to remove the Electoral College.

Created by S.H. on November 18, 2012

The Electoral College was established by our Founding Fathers to elect the President of the United States of America by giving the larger, more populated states more power in electing the president and because they felt that the average citizen was too stupid to choose the right person.
In today's information age there is no longer a need for the Electoral College.
The Electoral College prevents the vote of all Americans from counting, it forces candidates to address the needs of people in just a few "swing" states and not the nation as a whole. It weights the vote of a state to the more densely populated urban areas and makes the less populated parts of a state irrelevant.
Abolish or reform the Electoral College. Make your vote count.
