Establish constitutional knowledge tests, background checks and mental health screening before election to public office

Created by A.R. on January 13, 2013

The American people should be 100% certain that anyone running for a public office is willing and able to pass a test outlining the constitution that they are swearing under oath to support. This should include not only knowledge of the words of the Constitution and it's Amendments, but also the reasons it was written in the first place and case laws that have supported it since its inception.

A background check and mental screening should also be mandated as to not allow anyone that could be deemed unfit to make decisions to run for office. If a person is not mentally sound or has history of breaking laws in the past, they should not be allowed to make decisions that effect the American people.
