Establish an easier path for highly educated foreign nationals to become American citizens.

Created by S.W. on November 16, 2012

Highly skilled foreign nationals (many of whom pay exorbitant fees to attend our universities) deserve the privilege of American citizenship. The administration should look into expediting the process by which such individuals are granted US citizenship. Immigrants are the bedrock of our society. Hard working and highly skilled immigrants create companies that serve as engines of growth and prosperity. The government would do well to recognize the contributions of these individuals and prioritize them in the immigration process. This is not the time to grant citizenship to illegal immigrants who contribute far less substantively (if at all) to our society. We are in dire economic straits. Let us get our own house in order before opening our doors to strangers who hinder our growth.
