Establish an effective and knowledgeable sexual education course in high schools

Without a proper education of sexual activity or anatomy, teens tend to educate themselves by watching pornography. This leads to a false understanding of their own bodies and how sex is performed. This course needs to target an appropriate age group, to promote the risks of unprotected sex as well as provide a proper understanding of what is taking place. Up to 400,000 female teens aged 15-19 years old gave birth in 2009*, and an estimated 8,300 people between 13 and 24 years of age had an HIV infection** in the same year. While current high school sex-ed courses attempt to reduce these rates, They typically do not provide appropriate information to inform students properly on how to avoid unwanted pregnancy and disease.
