Voting is the essence of a democracy.
All Americans who have registered to vote should be afforded unimpeded access to exercise this most essential of our rights. Our government should encourage as many citizens as possible to participate in our democracy.
Establishing a National Holiday on Election Day will reduce barriers and obstacles to voting for millions and significantly improve voter turnout.
