The right to vote is an inalienable right for all Americans. It is a civic duty bestowed upon all of us. Taking part in our government is not just important, it is imperative and should be taken as seriously as any other national holiday, on which work and school are suspended to observe the significance this day holds in our nation.
It should, then, be declared that the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November is National Election Day. This will ensure Americans the freedom to get to the polls to vote.
