The Transportation Industry is one of the most Highly Regulated jobs in the U.S. Except for the Pay. Most Truck Drivers are paid by the mile, with 70 hours a week as a normal work week. Unlike most jobs, The Majority of Truck drivers work 11 to 14 hour shifts, with no Overtime. Most are on the job weeks at a time before coming home, and many not averaging more than minimum wage. There is no guarantee on miles or pay. The government should include the 40 hour work week plus overtime Rule to the Transportation Industry.
