Charles Robert Darwin contributed greatly to the fields of biology, ecology, and geology. His work on evolution by natural selection is one of the pillars upon which the biological sciences rest. We wish to recognize the importance of his work and raise awareness of the centrality of his ideas in modern biology. We the people ask that February 12th be named Charles Darwin Day to honor one of the greatest thinkers of human history.
