The United States needs to reform the national voting process, or better said, oversee it.
This is an issue that is far more important to be controlled by the federal government than by state and local authorities.
2012 was a perfect example of why. Many states tried last minute voting rule changes to attempt to control the outcome and this created discrimination, uncertainty, and extremely long lines at some locations.
With this federal agency all policies are valid for every state, all information relating to early voting, valid ID, schedule, location, etc. can be found in one place.
It's a shame to see the US, a supposed beacon for Democracy, still have to deal with issues of voting rights.
