A federal community college that directly serves enlisted servicemembers is an efficient and cost effective way of retaining and educating personnel. During these times of tight fiscal constraints when enlisted tuition assistance has been sequestered, (tuition assistance that often went to for-profit entities) servicemembers should continue to receive quality education opportunities.
Education benefits the armed forces overall with highly developed personnel forming the backbone of well-equipped and trained military force. The campus could easily be established to serve the unique nature of the military, drawing on the experiences of the federal Service Academies and Staff Colleges (i.e. West Point, Naval Postgraduate School, Air Force Institute of Technology, etc.)
