This petition intends to recognize English as the "sole national official language" of the United States...

...While giving protection to minority and regional languages, such as Spanish, Hawaiian, and Navajo, as co-official languages in states, territories, and counties where they form a significant population, in congruence with the 1965 Voting Rights Act which give a semblance of recognition to Spanish and Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native American, such a Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Tagalog, and Korean.

English will be recognized as the language of education while minority languages will be given protection.
