Establish a yearly tax on all firearms. Tax would be paid as part of normal federal income tax. Tax should be set to a level comensurate to offset the damages gun violence inflicts on society and fund other programs such as extra pubic security measures now endorsed by the NRA, (e.g. posting guards at schools), or gun buy back programs for those that do not want to pay the tax.
