Establish Financial Cooperatives

Created by J.C. on February 07, 2013

The Federal government should establish financial cooperatives.

All banking and insurance companies will be cooperatives.
Each depositor, or policy holder, or loan recipient, will have one vote in the cooperative.

Only cooperative banks will have direct access to the Federal Reserve loans.

Banks and insurance companies must offer membership to any person that applies. A person may not be a member of more than one bank or insurance company. A person may transfer any account or policy from any bank or insurance company at any time.

Business or other non-cooperative financial companies will not be able to receive funds from the Federal Reserve, or buy U.S. bonds, except through cooperative banks.

Citizens in general should have more influence over the financial system.
