President Obama, please establish a flat rate tax of 15% tax (+/- 2% dependent on expert budget analysis). Please do away with ALL deductions, and please do away with all bureaucracy that has been put in place to support the current complex tax structure.
Not only is this FAIR, but will stimulate the economy and help balance the budget. People currently using deductions will still benefit. The unfairly burdened upper middle class will benefit, will spend more and will have a much greater likelihood of establishing their own businesses. Rich corporate owners will pay more tax and no longer be entitled to keep more of their earnings than the average person; and finally, the elimination of the current system that allows the rich to lobby for their riches, will help balance the budget.
