In an effort to quell illegal immigration and unfair labor practices we ask the President to support the following:
1. expand the US visa program to allow more guest workers which would reduce the need for illegal immigrant workers and provide a migrant workers a path to citizenship.
2. establish a comparable apprenticeship program open to citizens under the age of 18.
3. regulate the minimum wages a guest worker or apprentice would be eligible to earn as a percentage of the normal minimum wage, the percentage of their workforce a business is allowed to employ as guest workers and apprentices.
4. mandate that all guest workers and apprenticeships must be covered by worker's compensation insurance, and that a business must hire an eligible apprentice over a guest worker.
