Establish a Gun classification system to identify Civilian grade and Military grade Firearms, Then restrict the latter.

We must uphold the spirit of the Second Amendment, while also taking action to identify the root causes of the unacceptably high Number of Gun related crimes in America. Any Gun misused can cause harm, However not all guns are created equally. There is clearly a division between the Civilian uses and the Military uses of Firearms. I propose a classification system be established which places Firearms into either a Civilian Class or Military Class/Law Enforcement Class. There would then be a stepping stone created towards limiting or even eliminating Civilian access to Military Grade Firearms while still defending our rights to bear arms (With Civilian Grade Weapons).
