Establish 'Gun Violence Tax' under which gun makers and gun purchases will be taxed to provide armed security at schools

Our schools need armed security personnel to prevent a tragedy like the one in Newtown CT. While gun control is being debated by politicians, our schools and children left vulnerable to gun violence. Also, In current political climate, Congress is against any additional spending on schools. Therefore, federal government should establish new tax to find revenue source for providing armed securities to schools. It is only fair that gun makers and users pay the cost necessary protect our schools and kids from gun violence. This new tax should be called 'Gun Violence Tax'. Tax rate should be determined based on yearly gun sales and revenue required to provide at least two armed security personnel for every public and private school in the nation.
