Establish health standards for foods that may be purchased with food stamps and sold in public schools.

Created by C.G. on September 30, 2011

Although we acknowledge the importance of social programs like public school lunch and food stamps, it is irresponsible to subsidize unhealthy eating habits with taxpayer money. The practice encourages obesity. Related health care expenses then also fall to taxpayers.

Support public wellness by establishing health standards for food purchased through federally funded nutrition programs.
