Establish a Human History Month

So the old adage goes, "People are people". Racial divisions have, for the most part, become a thing of the past, especially in the age of the first African-American president. In a time when a female President seems near, women are becoming more and more equal to men. Scientific progress is helping to cure diseases once thought terminal. People have come far from the Neolithic Age; we are more sophisticated and far less prejudiced than we've ever been. Why not celebrate this progress with a month devoted to the advancement of humanity as a whole? That's what Human History Month will address; how far we come. We've gone to space, we've become a worldwide culture, etc.; but the greatest part is that humans did all this. Isn't that worth a celebration?
