Few Americans have greater experience with cliffs than the great inventor, entertainer, and huntsman, Wile E. Coyote. Over the course of his decades-long career, Mr. Coyote has run, bounced, glided, jumped, or been otherwise propelled from the precipice of some of the highest cliffs in his industry - albeit rarely of his own volition. As our country's fiscal systems approach their own cliff, it is imperative that we pause to reflect upon the pioneering spirit and can-do attitude that this bravest (and most durable) of canines brings to all of his endeavors.
With the Administration's support, we believe that Wile E. Coyote can and should be honored by the national holiday that he deserves, on a date that will resonate with his own lifelong passion for cliffs.
