Ken Wilber is described by his followers as the most important philosopher of our time. But so far, this claim has not been taken seriously by many people who are not already Ken Wilber's followers, and definitely not by philosophers. This is a serious problem for Ken Wilber's followers, who are certainly qualified to evaluate the importance of philosophers and times and so on, much more so than the people who actually know things about philosophy. This is why President Obama needs to use the bully pulpit to make it so: by executive order, make Ken Wilber the most important philosopher of our time, if only to brighten the day a bit for Mr Wilber's followers.
